Gosh , that was fun ! But let's not do it ever again ...

Sonata :
Husband and I are moving house . In fact , we've been moving for the last three weeks and , were it not for Friend , we'd never be ready . She's a decorating demon and has tirelessly stripped vile bumpy wallpaper and friezes like technicolor roadkill , replastered and sanded and painted till she dropped .... and mercilessly bullied me into conquering my fear of the steam wallpaper-stripping machine and given master classes on filling holes in walls . And all with great charm .
The new flat , with a view of the river

a lift for Husband's sore knee and wrap-round cosy central heating now also has soft ice cream coloured walls ( not quite as pale as shown here ) and we're packing boxes as fast as we can

So think of us on Saturday, it should be huge fun .... the man moving us has announced that his two young stagaires this year are from a training course for youngsters with ADHD so it won't take long

The very best of luck, especially with the trainees!

Ha! With a 'before' build-up like that, I can't wait to hear the 'after'.

GOOD LUCK.

Now all you'll have to do to go "messing about on the river" is step outside your front door! Good luck with the move!

Good colors. I have a go-to woman for all of our moves. She has OCD and lines everything up like soldiers in my new cupboards and closets. Before I met her, it would not have occurred to me to group glasses with matching glasses. I'd just put them all out of sight and be done. Moving is always exhausting. Good luck!

You kept that quiet! All the best, especially with the packing, the rest is a lot easier.
When we moved from Moscow 2 whip thin young men moved everything themselves down 7 flights of stairs, they were truly awesome (and I don't use that word very often).
The 2 that turned up at this end were so fat they couldn't carry heavy stuff up stairs so my Dad and I had to do it!!
I work with a lot of ADHD boys. Just saying.

I will certainly think of you on Saturday and hope that it stays dry for the move.

Best of luck! I couldn't have ice cream colored walls... I'd be licking them instead of getting anything done.

The best of luck with the move and the new flat.
May your river never burst it's banks.

When you are finished with your friend, could you send him/her over to Shropshire please? There's plenty to do here too.
