Sartorial Advice Sought ...

I've spent so long this winter bundled up like Smaller Grandson that I've only just realised I've got absolutely nothing to wear . Or any idea what I'd like to wear .

All my neighbours , obviously much more organised than me , are sporting new 'tops' in  peach or white that look alarmingly like the tops very old ladies with tight perms  wore in the '60s . The girls going up to the college all seem to have denim shorts which they wear with black tights and football socks . Everyone female  between twentyfive and fiftyfive is wearing coral-pink teeshirts , gold trainers and jeans that their knees poke out of .  Every little girl has a Frozen pink tu-tu on and the drunk outside the supermarket has Frozen pink rubber gardening clogs . I  only seem to have fourteen chunky jumpers and sensible shoes .
Probably time I went shopping ... but what for ?

P.S. Smaller Grandson doesn't really walk round like this usually , but he couldn't resist it at the Space Museum

Egads, don't ask me about clothes. I shop at the local thrift stores, and usually wear jeans with a man's extra large button down short sleeved shirt, and either leather brogues or hiking boots. I absolutely loathe the women's styles on offer (either slutty midriff baring stuff for teenage toothpicks, or old lady stuff in polyester). If I'm not at work, it's tee shirts and jeans, pretty much. I am NOT a fashionista, but my refusal to be pigeonholed by the fashion industry, coupled with my limited wallet, leaves me with relatively little choice. Happily, we have an enormous thrift store community here on Long Island, and you can get fabulous brand name clothing in perfect shape for just a few dollars an item. Yay!

I think you'd look very fetching in a Frozen pink tu-tu. You could add the tights and football socks in case your lower extremities objected to the tu-tu alone....

T-shirts with patterns, then one spill doesn't spoil the day.
There is a recent (last couple of seasons, in my world) miracle fabric called woven linen with all the breathable advantages of linen, but non-wrinkle.For those who may not be 6ft bean poles and actually wish to sit down during the day.

Definitely an amalgam of all those styles you mention - a nice peach polyester top with denim shorts under a pink tutu with gold trainers. Sorted...

It has to be pink obviously.

My look today comprised Welsh dragon short socks, red trainers, shorts, a big woolly cardigan longer than said shorts, and a white sparkly scarf.

I am possibly not the person to give sartorial advice.
