Sonata:
a farm shop full of delicious treats and , as they said , very free range eggs
I must strongly refute any suggestion that I didn't enjoy our weekend camping at Wing Hall in Rutland .
I had a marvellous time !
I had a marvellous time !
How could I not love a campsite with excellent wine and homemade cakes in the bar
a farm shop full of delicious treats and , as they said , very free range eggs
Showers like this
with a resident frog like this ( he was no bigger than my thumbnail ) .

And sitting out in the evening under a sky like this with something delicious on the barbecue
The weekend also include an antique fair at Grimsthorpe Castle on Saturday
and a Fete , Flower and Produce event at Uppingham on Sunday , which included a very entertaining Dog Show
More cakes
impressive veg
and lovely flowers
I loved every minute of it !!

Wow...looks like a dream trip to me!!! My girls would have loved the dog show part.
:o)
I don't think that the English Country Show can be replicated anywhere else in the world. Such treasures.
So very very British. Lovely photos ;-)
Perfect. Even the frog in the showers-I'd have loved that bit. No1 has just come back from a music festival and that's not what she found in the shower yesterday...but we won't go there.
Looks and sounds great, all of it!
We are so living on opposite sides of the world. As I type I CAN'T HEAR MYSELF THINK. I THINK THE SKY IS FALLING IN. HELLO? CAN YOU HEAR ME?
Enjoy that summer...
Was the frog included in the price, or did you have to pay extra?! lol
Was it you that mentioned a limerick on Fridge Soup somewhere?
There was a Sonata in Friesland
who had an umbrella in one hand
that when the rain stopped
she immediately dropped
to burst out in a song with a brass band
There you go!
My very own limerick !
Thankyou !!
this was just beautiful...love seeing other parts of the world....and i LOVED the dog show

sending love,
kary and teddy

You've just redefined camping for this Northern U.S. girl! I'm pretty sure I could enjoy the experience heaps more, if only there were antiques and a dog show. Note to self: tell husband that mosquitoes and windstorms are overrated.
All looks pretty good to me, especially that choclate cake! Penny x
