The Fourth Dimension ... Or Something

I'd run out of crosswords . ( I have a subscription to the Times puzzle page and tend to print them out in batches , rather than one a day . Henry Ford has nothing on me . I've streamlined the whole process . )   So ; coffee , laptop and printer ...

Only now I've  got Windows 10 and Windows 10 refused to co-operate with the printer . It seemed that I had to formally introduce them . Well , at least one of us must be socially challenged because it took all morning .

Never mind , in between all the faffing about wailing , I also managed to cook a pot of  pork and beans , clean the kitchen windows and swear a lot . I've now got a big pile of crosswords , enough for weeks , which is just as well because I'm worn out ...

These ads have been going up all over the place  , any suggestion of a connection to a certain Windows programme is pure conjecture .

I don't have windows 10, and hope not to, for some time. I did help a friend in despair find she only needed to download a printer driver, rather than buy a new printer. Small victories.

I love crossword puzzles too. Unfortunately, though, swear words are rarely used in them which is too bad.

Enjoy all the puzzle solving. Windows 10 brings all sorts of problems. I'm still having issues with the internet connection since upgrading which is taking hours to sort each time. Drives me mad!

My printer has just died. It might have been something with the paper that I - no, not I - it did it itself - jammed in it. Or the way I pulled it out. Forcefully. And it turns out that since Brexit printers are a lot more expensive than they were last year.

I am very impressed that you do the Times crossword. I fail with even the simplest non-cryptic ones. It's like scrabble: my brain can't think of anything beyond three letters.

Having switched to Apple years ago, I know nothing about Windows any more, although that doesn't stop my elderly neighbours coming to seek my advice about it at very regular intervals......
