Work this week has included three lessons on dental hygiene ( " Toddlers Floss , Too" ) for our different groups and their parents , one sudden Fire Drill and one break-in . And it's only Wednesday .....
P.S. In the interests of blog(sister)hood , I'll share my top tip of the week . When someone jemmies open your door and leaves lots of jagged edges at child's face height , just cover up with brightly coloured , left over paper napkins
and everyone will avoid said jaggy edges till the handyman comes , when the children will transfer their attention to the open tool box and power drill left temptingly just by the door .

P'raps pop yourself on a plane and head on over Downunder. We have a long weekend this weekend. It sounds like you might need a long weekend. Monday is all about taking the day off work in honour of the Queen's birthday.
I concur with Tania. Head down to this end of the Earth for the long weekend and we can spoil you with our beautiful autumn views, wine and enviable array of produce and comestibles.
Very clever temporary fix with the napkins, but what a horror that you've had all that happen. And it's only Wednesday.
Darn! Good fix.
I love the ingenuity of parents!
Sorry you have had such a horrid week, hope it ends better than it started.
Very posh napkins for such a job!
I was once locked in a classroom with another teacher and 30 odd kids for a long afternoon. The site staff had to break down the door in the end (lock had collapsed inside a metal door...). It was left for a good six months before someone just stuck some ply over it!
DO toddlers floss? I prefer the bendy little interdental brushes myself.
PS. Who has decided to use these blurry house numbers for verification on Blogger? I have to have about 6 or 7 goes on average. And that's with glasses on...
Good grief... for a second I thought your house had been broken into! Good job dressing the wound until help arrived, though. 8-)
I sincerely hope that the rest of the week was calmer.
Rotten beggars, burglars; may they have their own homes broken into twice a week and three times on Sundays.
Oh, drat! Hope they didn't make off with much. What a terrible thing to have happen.
Every child knows without being told that a tool box is full of the most magical items.
Well, I hope Thursday and Friday were less, erm, demanding.
